CLEAN SUBSTANCES AND MIXTURES
Clean Substance is matter that has defined and constant composition and specific properties. Eg water, silver, ethanol, kitchen salt, carbon dioxide, etc. Substances differ from one another in composition and can be identified by their appearance, smell, taste, and other properties. Blending is a combination of two or more pure substances in which the substances retain their separate identity. Some examples are: air, soft drinks, milk, cement, etc. Blend composition not permanent. Therefore, air samples collected in different cities may vary in composition due to differences in height, pollution and so on.
