Prostaglandins

Prostaglandins

Prostaglandins are local hormones or lipids membranëg cell, from which can be released in case of damage due to stimulate the nerve endings of pain sensitivity.

Prostaglandins are a group of fatty acids with specific properties cyclical biological active (being marked in large letters as PGEI), to act in many cellular functions of each system. Prostaglandins produced in insufficient amounts of many bodily tissues p.sh of the uterus, brain, kidney and semen sperm.

Arahidonik acid of cell membrane phospholipids decomposed by the enzyme phospholipase AZ (inhibited by drugs that feature amateur fl antii as cortisol) to liberate arahidonik acid. Then cytoplasmic enzymes, as lipooksigjenaza or cito- oksigj enaza act on the acid.

This way cyclooxygenase contains some cyclical endoperoksidaza called prostaglandin and thromboxane acting as agent or autokrin parakrin, stimulating other targets in the cell or by changing the intracellular reactions.

The action of prostaglandins inhibited by aspirin and some other preparations antii fl amateur, which protect us from the formation of thromboxane and PG that play a role in agregiminmgjitjen) of trombocitev of or in coagulation (clotting) of blood.

While lipoksigjenazave path leads to the formation of Ieukotrinave necessary for the immune response.
