Quantum numbers

In quantum mechanics, are needed three quantum numbers to describe the distribution of the electronic density in the atom. These numbers are derived from the mathematical solution of the equation in atomic orbitals and electrons residing in them. Fourth Number quantum spin quantum number describes the behavior of a particular electron and completes the description of electrons in atorne.

Principal quantum number (n) may have values of positive numbers l, 2, 3, and so on, and corresponding to the quantum number n in Bor model for the hydrogen atom. In the hydrogen atom energy level value en sets. When the electron is in orbitalen with n = 1, the hydrogen atom is in the state stationary and lower energy, and if the electron passes in orbitalen with n = 2, then it passes the first state to ekscituar. For electrons that have the same value of n we say that belong to the same class (same energy level). Electronic layers are often marked with letters.
